Consignment Terms & Policy

We partner with style-forward sellers and influencers to bring exceptional pre-loved pieces to our curated community. Here's how it works.

Who We Accept

We welcome consignment submissions from individual sellers, vintage collectors, and influencers whose aesthetic aligns with the Second Story Style Edit brand — coastal luxury, designer fashion, vintage finds, and wearable art. All items are reviewed and accepted at our discretion.

What We Accept

  • Designer and contemporary brand clothing, shoes, and accessories
  • Vintage and pre-loved pieces in excellent or very good condition
  • Cottagecore, resort wear, and Gen Z-forward styles
  • Handbags, jewelry, and curated home accessories

We do not accept fast fashion, heavily worn items, or pieces without clear brand identification.

Consignment Split

Our standard consignment split is 50/50 — you (the consignor) receive 50% of the final sale price, and Second Story Style Edit retains 50% to cover listing, photography, marketing, and platform fees.

Influencer partners with an engaged following of 10K+ may be eligible for a 60/40 split — meaning you keep 60% and Second Story Style Edit retains 40%. Contact us to discuss influencer partnership terms.

Listing Period

Items are listed for a period of 90 days. If an item does not sell within 90 days, you may choose to:

  • Extend the listing for an additional 30 days (with a 10% price reduction)
  • Arrange pickup or return shipping at your expense
  • Donate the item to a local charity partner

Pricing

Second Story Style Edit reserves the right to price items based on market research, brand value, and condition. We will always communicate the proposed price with you before listing and welcome your input.

Payment

Consignors are paid within 14 days of a confirmed sale via PayPal, Venmo, or store credit (your choice). Store credit carries a 10% bonus on your payout.

Submission Process

  1. Email us at hello@secondstorystyleedit.com with photos and a brief description of your items.
  2. We'll review and respond within 3–5 business days.
  3. Accepted items should be clean, freshly laundered or wiped down, and shipped or dropped off within 14 days of acceptance.
  4. Once received, items are photographed, listed, and promoted across our channels.

Influencer Consignment

Are you a content creator or influencer with a style-forward audience? We'd love to feature your closet. Influencer consignors receive a dedicated subcollection on our store (e.g. "@handle's Closet"), social media features, and cross-promotion to our community.

Influencer partnership terms are negotiated individually — reach out to discuss what works best for you and your audience.
